About Echoes

Echoes Community Care is comprised of two companies that were purchased by the Somerset Group.

The first company is the Havant based Echoes Community Care, which Somerset Care took over in December 2004. Echoes had already established itself as a market leader in domiciliary care in the Havant, Portsmouth and Waterlooville areas.

The second company was Gordon Care Services, purchased in January 2006. Gordon Care provided a range of domiciliary care and Learning Disability support to the community across North Hampshire, with bases at Andover, Basingstoke and Tadley.

Both companies have superior quality of service as well as excellent reputations and were therefore a natural and welcome addition to the Group.

In January 2007, both companies were consolidated under the Echoes name. This was for two main reasons: firstly, to provide our clients with faster and easier access to services and secondly, to provide the County bulk purchasers (such as Social Services) smoother processes to enhance working in close partnership.

Somerset Care is a not-for-profit organisation – any profit generated is redistributed to their frontline operations. This means the client benefits from enhanced support and greater quality.
