Training Introduction
Echoes Community Care prides itself on its training. Carers are provided with the following levels of training:
- Induction – a two day intensive course, covering the principles and theory of caring in the community. This includes first aid awareness, food hygiene training, person centred care training and moving and handling training. The course also includes equipment used in the care field, such as catheters, glide sheets, hoist equipment etc.
- Shadowing – the induction is combined with 2 days work shadowing with experienced staff, out in the field. This introduces the practical elements of our service and care.

Senior Carers and Community Team Supervisors receive training in:
- Complaint Handling
- Introductory Visits
- NVQ3
- Reviews
- Risk Assessment
- Quality Assurance
Care Managers receive training on management practice and the Registered Manager’s Award in Care Management (RMA4).
